The Card
Everything on this site — the parchment, the gold hairline, the wreathed globe, the letterspaced caps — was taken from this. Rebuilt here in live HTML so the standard and its source can be checked against each other.

From card to standard
A printed card and a screen are not the same surface. Foil catches light on paper and goes flat on a display; a hairline that reads as delicate at 300 dpi disappears at 96. Three deliberate changes were made in the translation, and they are worth stating rather than quietly making.
Gold was split in two
The card's single gold became --gold for edges and marks, and a darker --gold-ink for anything a person has to read. On paper one gold serves both jobs; on screen it fails the contrast floor. The measurements are on the colours page.
Blue was promoted
The card puts the flag in a corner. On screen navy became the structural colour — headers, bands, buttons — because a site needs a load-bearing colour and gold cannot be one.
The count is now measured
The printed card says “over 210 apps developed”. This page reads its number from the live account at build time: 516 projects, 508 answering as of 2026-08-04 11:51 UTC. The card was right and is now conservative.
Points at standard.bornbetween2generals.com/roster.html
This page prints. The standard's print stylesheet drops the header, footer and buttons, keeps the card on one sheet, and expands link URLs into the margin so a printed copy is still usable.
